    Still driving that gas guzzler?

    More from jamesholler

I have 2 Big Gas Guzzlers

We drive 2 large gas guzzlers...one is a 2004 Ford Expedition with the big Triton V-8 engine and the other is a 2001 Jaguar XJ8 that gets about 16 miles to the gallon. We need the SUV for our 3 kids and the Jaguar because I wanted it. Our income is such that we are not financially affected by the gas prices. All of my neighbors want to buy these $18k-$30k "Green Cars" to save on gas. I have to explain that they are going to pay that money, plus a higher insurance premium because they have a newer car that is more expensive to fix...all in the name of saving $50-$100 per week! Hello!!!!! It will cost more in monthly car notes and insurance than it would to just keep their same car...some people just don't think! I, on the other hand, have begun a new business venture...I am buying up all of these older SUV's and sending them to Central and South America and making a great profit. Gas in Venezuela is only about 25-35 cents per gallon...I can buy a 5 year old Suburban for about $13k and spend $2k to ship it to South America where I can sell it for $20k-$23k USD.

So...keep the gas prices high for all I care...I have turned a negative into a positive. Where others just whine and complain, I did something about it...I made a profit!
