Bridget the Midget Avoids Paparazzi
It has been reported that Miss Bridget of ‘Bridget the Midget’ fame (see story of 1st July DOC-289685) slipped quietly into the States early this morning from Mexico at the Laredo crossing and is headed for San Antonio for the weekend. From there she is believed to be travelling to Dallas but the remainder of her itinerary has yet to be published.
Miss Bridget is claimed to be the most photographed model of her gender over the past year with over 80% of the snaps taken by her fans often using their mobile phones. She has been dubbed the ‘First Lady’ of the motor world.
Unconfirmed reports say that her Events Director, Alan J Lines, based in England is currently negotiating a personal appearance at one of the largest Vegas Hotels with a limited edition souvenir and signing by her owner/driver Roy Locock. There is purported to be a publishing deal in the pipeline and even talk of a leading television company recording “An Evening with Miss Bridget”. Reports of film rights have been dismissed as too early by an un-named source. Agent enquiries are being directed to mission.control@bridgetthemidget.co.uk
This is Miss Bridget’s first World Tour but she has already attracted some controversy from two quarters, firstly from the Politically Correct lobby who complained about the use of the word ‘Midget’ saying that it was derogatory to small people. A spokesman for Miss Bridget pointed out that she has always been a Midget and that thousands of her family members have gone all over the world as Ambassadors for the British MG brand. Miss Bridget is extremely proud of her family name. It seems that her website also caused some animated debate over the re-introduction of small sports cars generally and for the US market in particular. Objectors have been referred to the new owners of MG in Nanjing.
