Stimulus: Has it helped you? |
$1500 TAX CREDIT FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY SYSTEMS
The tax credit provided by the federal government was a good concept. There is only one main problem....people are having problems in qualifying for credit. Also, it does not help the majority of the middle class or lower income people. The other problem is that the majority of people are making repairs more rather than replacing their systems, or are holding off. The people who have money are scared to death as to the uncertainty of President Obama's plans, and the more government regulation that is being forced down all our throats, and those associated costs. Being an air conditioning contractor I personally have held off from any further hiring because the economic out look is not as rosey as the media portrays the situation. Every day I encounter home owners that are in fear for their own financial situation. Now the minimum wage has been raised. This creates another situation that in the long run that will squeeze businesses even further. It is a domino effect that effects the bottom line of every business. Does the cost of this and all expenses just happen to be absorbed in any business and go away? If you are going to survive in this business climate, you pass it on to the consumer in the cost of doing business. So guess what...you do not get something for nothing! What really disturbs me is that we increase the SEER ratings to increase the energy efficiencies, yet the utility companies contnue to increase the cost of utilities. Why? Increasing costs of goods & services due to additional unforeseen expenditures. The consumer then actually hardly achieves any net gain or financial relief. Why? Because he is convinced he is saving money, but in reality it is just switching hands. The consumer is being squeezed from both ends! Now President Obama wants to add in the cost of health care to squeeze the larger companies and people who have money even further. In Georgia, the number of service calls for 90+ temperatures are less than half in comparison from previous years. The joke is how the media empasizes how corprate profits are up for the second quarter......well if you cut the number of employees back and cut back your purchases, you can make any company suddenley look profitable! It is all ficticious numbers on paper! Wait for the next quarter! Survivors will still be profitable again, but the resolve to an energy dependancy is not "stealing from peter to pay paul".
WAKE UP AMERICA! You cannot spend yourself out of a recession and continue to squeeze the population at both ends and expect a positive result!
So when can we expect a small business bailout?
NO THANKS!....I still believe in the AMERICAN DREAM and in hard work......NOT HANDOUTS!
BAILOUTS = GOVERNMENT SLAVERY!
POLITICIANS IN WASHINGTON D.C. NEEDS TO BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE AND FORCED TO FIND A "REAL" JOB!
HA! HA! (GOOD LUCK!)
