I am a US military officer that will soon separate from the Air Force and become a US veteran. Several months ago I applied to my current property mortgage bank (Indymac) for a refinancing of my mortgage in order to be able to continue the payments of my house. They never responded. Later I contacted the US Army Corps of Engineers after the law supposedly put in effect by president Obama given my relocation to another State. I received a generic letter stating that no guidance was available from the government into this plan. I put my home in the market for several months asking for a short sale consideration after sending IndyMac all the documentation concerning my VA disability application and my relocation from the area of Nevada. Today I received a letter from them stating that because I have been up to date with my payments Fanny Mae is not willing to even consider my request, and that I have to be behind on my payments for at least 30 days before they can consider my application to sell my house at the current price of the market.

In a few more months, I will not eb able to pay for this property, and most likely will have to face the actions of foreclosure with the loss of my house, the loss of my credit and God knows what else.

This essentially means: I am up to date inmy house payments, in a few months I will be separated form the Air Force and my medical care after two heart surgeries will be taken from the Veteran Administration, and  my family and I will be facing an enormous stress, just because we did the right thing. But again, we are the bad people. We don't deserve anything.
