    Go Barack! -- Video

Today as I watched Senator Barack Obama clinch the Democratic Party's nomination for the 2008 Presidential candidacy, I was overwhelmed with a combination of pride and sadness. I was happy for Barack, African Americans, and all minorities who are deserving of fair, respectful treatment. I was optimistic for an America with the promise of a better tomorrow. What is fitting and incredible, is that in Denver when Senator Obama gives his acceptance speech it will be on the exact day of the 45th anniversary of the Martin Luther King Jr., "I've Got a Dream" speech. The world is looking to us for leadership and new direction, and seems to be enjoying what they see. However, I was overcome with profound sadness at the thought that all of the time and effort that Senator Clinton and her supporters like me had put into her campaign, representing our values, hopes, and dreams, as well as the first woman to have a chance to be U.S. President, was now coming to an end. My hope is that Barack Obama will ask Senator Clinton how she would like to join him to continue to help him lead the Democratic Party and our country to an improved future in the best way she sees possible and in which he is comfortable.
