This iReport is part of an assignment:
Remembering John Hughes |
Hughes' Biggest Regret: Curly Sue
I've seen almost all of John Hughes' films and always thought that, while not a cinematic genius by any stretch of the imagination, he was able to speak to a generation of moviegoers (mine) in a way that no one else has been able to do before or since. That being said, why the f*#k did Hughes ever cast that piece of s^%t Jim Belushi in 1991's "Curly Sue"?!? Every single time I see Jim Belushi, I want to projectile vomit! If his immensely talented older brother John hadn't died in 1982, Jim's only show business career would have been scoring him hookers and coke. I am just so angry that 'Jimbo' has any kind of career, as being fat and loud does not equal being funny (trust me, I've tried). I suspect that the late Mr. Hughes would want all mention of "Curly Sue" removed from his obituaties for this reason. Did I express just how much I hate Jim Belushi? Well, did I?!?
