    My neighbor, Captain Rags, invited my family and me to spend New Year's Day aboard his boat.  We were motoring out past Point Loma when we spotted a pair of California grey whales.  Rags cut the engine, and one of the whales became curious, giving me the oportunity to use my new camera and capture these amazing shots of its fluke, Point Loma, and a sail boat.
