This is one of my favorite places to visit. It's the pier off the First Street Beach in Manistee, Michigan, close to where I live.

We like to take a walk down the cement breaker wall to the end, walking slowly and just enjoying the blue sky, the water, and wonderful clean breeze. Once and a while when we peak down to the rocks, we can see huge fish moving around, then we start talking about how we wished we brought our poles.

When our life gets stressful and nothing else seems to work to shake it off, just walking down to the end of the pier, we imagine our stress being something we could just  throw away in the wind, when we get the end, my husband and I like to spend a little extra time "throwing our stresses to the wind"

The walk back to the beach is much more peaceful, like a burden has been lifted.
