The opening ceremony consists of fencers whom are to conquer the walls and gates, which in these days adorns the square and is the gateway to the festival selling grounds.Over seventy contemporary stands for craftsmen are placed in the castle, the courtyard and the main square to complete the precious environment and extraordinary atmosphere.

More than 180 craftsmen and folk artists from Slovakia and abroad present over fifty kinds of crafts before the eyes of visitors. Under their hands they yield interesting products from wood, wicker, straw, leather, clay, metal, glass and other materials that can be purchased on the spot.
