    Perseid Meteor "Skipping" by Steve Gifford

    8-14-09 - Although not as numerous as previous nights, continued clear skies over southern Indiana made good viewing for the Perseid meteor shower.  In one of the two attached shots from last night, the meteor can be seen "skipping" across the sky as it attempts to enter the Earth's atmosphere.
