Racial profiling: Both sides |
Starbucks Protests in St. Paul, MN
As I was stopped at a light on Snelling and Selby in St. Paul, MN, I witnessed a group of about 15-20 employees protesting outside of the corner Starbucks. They are heard chanting "Hey Howard you can't hide, we can see your racist side!" referring to the Ethiopian immigrant ‘Aizze’ who was supposedly unjustly fired after working there for 2 years. Full story on the Starbucks Union website: http://tcsbuxunion.com/2009/08/11/justice-for-aizze-defend-an-immigrant-worker-unfairly-victimized-by-starbucks/
By the time I drove back around 15 minutes later, they had disbursed already.
