    Seattle Hempfest 2009

Seattle Hempfest is the largest cannabis policy reform event in the world.   Now in its 18th year, the protestival  attracts tens of thousands of people  each day to listen to Hempfest’s reform  messages amidst the  festival atmosphere.

Seattle Hempfest serves to educate the community on the advantages of  cannabis policy reform.  The economic, medical, industrial and civil  rights benefits that come with legalization are presented in a digestible  manner at the 2-day event.
And with many changes in the political scene in the past year - such  as Obama as the new president, former Seattle Police Chief  Gil Kerlikowske as the new drug czar, Oregon legalizing hemp and California  looking at economic benefits, Seattle Hempfest predicts more cannabis  policy reform is on the horizon.  To effect change, Hempfest drives to  reach more constituents through its speakers and entertainers to encourage  them to use their voting power.
