Travel Snapshots: Paris |
Yummy Food Spanning the Nation
Because food is dear to most of us :) (whether it be an emotional tie to something, or the wonderful addictive taste of another) I am going to make more of an effort to photograph food that looks mmm mmm good! Some of these are foods I have eaten on vacation at any given location, others are foods I didn't get a chance to eat but felt it was pretty enough to say "cheese!"
I am going to make more of a personal effort to expand my gastronomical experience, and taste a few local, authentic dishes when I take vacations or visit new places in the U.S. and abroad.
Paris
1. Flourless cake in the Champs-Elysees area - I indeed ate this - not badly priced but not as tasty as it looked either :/ I guess I'm a sucker for sugar and this didn't have enough to rot my teeth, so it wasn't good enough for me hehe
2. Farmers Market - did not eat this fruit but the long display of fruits, meats and dairies was pictureworthy
3. Yummy desert cafe near my hotel in the Latin Quarter - I didn't buy anything because the staff wasn't too happy about my flashing pictures in their store!
4. You better believe I ate this strawberry/vanilla ice cream combo after a day at the Louvre :)
5. My melting vanilla ice cream cone snack in Versailles - next to the statue - an example of my quirkier picture taking moments
Spain
6. Breads in Madrid as I headed towards the famous street market El Rastro.
7. The tastiest (and cutest) looking deserts I've ever seen! Didn't eat any due to my being on a mission and attempting to stay a bit healthy on my travels.
8. Same as # 7 from a different view
9. Many types of seafood
10. My own fried asparagus - because I would have to sneak some of my own dishes in here, Aberdeen, MD is after all a part of the world too, though small :)
