    Private jets back in vogue.

Want to avoid getting swine flu when travelling this winter? Well why not opt for flying on a private jet!

Earlier this year business executives flying around in company or chartered private jets were being given a hard time by Washington and the media. Unfairly so in my view (see earlier Ireport on this from me). Now as winter approaches in the Northern Hemisphere we are all preparing to meet swine flu head on. Business executives who travel a lot are going to be prime targets for the virus as they travel on packed airplanes and hang around in busy airports with thousands of other passengers. Do we really want to see our best executives laid up in bed for a week or so or at worse see a few of them succumb to swine flu. I don't think so. So what's the alternative. Of course, travel in a private jet, avoid the crowds and travel with people from your own company equally keen not to get the flu either.

Private jet companies are making preparations too. Hygiene standards are being raised from an already high level. They are looking at the entire end-to-end travel chain of the executive to make sure he/she is shielded from the virus as much as is possible and they are making preparations to assist any unlucky Exec who comes down with the flu during a trip.

Private jet companies you are back in business.
