This iReport is part of an assignment:
Don't say that word
Unfortunately---The Corporate BS Word for saying "Tough Crap"
Watch the video above! (Click 'next') - You have to agree with this!!
Don't you hate phony people who act so 'genuinely concerned' to try and help you but then the most overused, phony bullcrap words come out of their mouth: "Well, I would love to remove that $39 service fee but UNFORRRRRTUNATELY.... my hands are tied". That is such a standard corporate response for saying "Tough sh#!, it's your problem-not mine and I'm not helping you". I HATE THAT WORD! I own a business and I my employees will NEVER say that word. The word always seems to be dragged out too.. like they REALLLY WANT to help you, but unforrrrrrtunately, I can't". So sorry!
Other words that are so pathetic (and use so many times)...."Challenges". I remember calling the bank one time about something and because it was THEIR FAULT, the response I got was "Oh, I know, we've had some challenges with our new computer system".. Basically what you're saying is "you've had PROBLEMS"... it's funny, when they have a problem it's a 'challenge' but when a customer has it, it's so 'unfortunate'.
Lastly, I'm sick of hearing "On the Ground", "At the End of the Day", "Absolutely", "Like","My Bad", and "Oh My God", “That being said”, “Blah Blah Blah”, “To make a long story short”- all while pretending to scratch the end of your nose. (Ever notice how many people do THAT???)
"It's like, oh my God, I'm am SOOO sorry, but unfortunately, we've had some challenges this month here on the ground, oh my bad, I mean, this year, blah blah blah, but, to make a long story short, it's like absolutely horrible, but, that being said, I know at the end of the day,, like, it'll be ok.…like.... (said while doing the nervous scratch of the nose)......
(Sorry for having to clear my throat so much, I guess I was having some 'challenges' speaking this morning... 'unfortunately', that happens to all of us I guess'.....)
