Passions over health care reform |
US Rep Charlie Gonzalez Town Hall Meeting
US Rep Charlie Gonzalez held a Town Hall Meeting Monday evening in a packed auditorium in San Antonio. At the event, he answered questions about the National Health Care Legislation he supports. Attendees included people in support of the legislation and people opposed to it. The crowd became noisy at times, but was generally well behaved. My impression from this Town Hall Meeting was that the purpose of these meetings is for Congressmen to explain the legislation, and not to receive input about it. I got the feeling that Rep Gonzalez has already decided what we're getting.
