    Gum on Bricks

    Near the street where I live in New Haven, Connecticut, at an elementary school a couple blocks away, there is a corner filled with chewing gum that has slowly accumulated through the past year I have been in the neighborhood. I am sure that in addition to the school kids sticking their gum there, a few adults passing by have contributed their own chewing gum.
