This iReport is part of an assignment:
Remembering Ted Kennedy |
Massachusetts Morning Without Ted
This morning, about 5AM, I awoke to the sad news of Senator Kennedy's passing while at anchor in Massapoisett Harbor, not far from Hyannis. A child of the sixties, forever changed by the deaths of his two brothers, a deep sadness overtook me. I looked out the companionway of my sailboat, and saw to my surprise that the lighthouse on the point was still flashing against the red sky of dawn, as if to remind us that only Senator Kennedy's life, but not his light, has gone out.
