    My Liver Biopsy Today/OUCH!!

Hey everybody I got the dreaded liver biopsy today. I was very nervous about the whole thing as I don't do pain that well. I had to be at the hospital by 8AM this morning. They did blood work, then about 10 minutes before they took me in I got a shot of Demerol in the arm. They then took me into an CAT scan operating room and they do a scan of your liver, then mark the spot where the incision goes. They have you put both arms above your head and strap them (lol) I said "Is that so I won't punch the doctor if He hurts me?"

The nurse then via IV administered medication and I was awake, however I don't remember any of the surgery??? I kind of came to when they wheeled me back to recovery, and I was hurting quite bad. The pain is in my liver area and radiates in my shoulder. They kept me in recovery for 2 1/2 hours to make sure I was not going to bleed. I am home I am ok however I am in a great deal of pain still.

I wanted to share this as many of you sweet people have PMed me asking about all my tests. So now I wait up to 5 days to see if there is any cancer there. I pray I get good news and ask you all to please keep me in your prayers. Thanks, Denise

I also don't think my insurance is going to cover everything so I will be waiting for a hospital bill.
