Crap parking ticket violations!@#!!! Covington KY city funding

I was quite surprised this morning to receive notice of a delinquent parking violation that occured March of this year.  What the ****!!  I've never received a parking ticket in Covington, KY.  Upon closer look, it was shortly after lunch on a Tues when I would have been working.  How am I supposed to know where I was on that date so long ago?   I owe the city according to them $60 ($30 + late charge that doubles it) within 10 days or it doubles again to $120!

The downtown street upon which the ticket occurred is one on which I've never parked.  I drove by the address.  It was law offices and a mental health clinic.  Nice.  Officers picking on those who have issues no doubt.

Unlike most people who get this crap in the mail, I was fortunate enough to be able to determine EXACTLY where I was shortly after lunch on that particular day in March of this year.  I was in Augusta, GA on a business trip!!  ha ha ha ha!!  take that!  My flights to and from GA show that on that date I was there.  My hotel and meal charges to my corporate card also show I was there.  I own one car and have the parking receipt from Airport parking that show I had my car parked in their lot on that date.

Will my corporate expense report backed by leading members of society who can vouch for where I was on that date in March (having paid my bills) be enough to stop the parking gestapo and the City of Covington?  Having seen Kentucky law in action, I would not be surprised if I don't end up paying that $60 fine anyway.  I have resigned myself over the past 4 years to living in a police state.  10% of my income should be set aside for bogus charge defence and to cover fines.  That is America, land of the incarcerated.

I will request a copy of the parking ticket.  Can't wait to see it as it should be most interesting how a car at an airport parking company lot with owner in GA happened to get a parking ticket.  Maybe they issued me a used car tag and conveniently linked all of my info to someone else's violation?  Who knows.  I just know it is hard to live as a regular person in American with the law enforcement system we have these days.  It isn't the criminals who have to fear law and the state, it is all of us.
