Rebuilding the Gulf Coast |
New Orleans Lives
Last week I took my first trip to New Orleans. I was expecting to see left over remnants of rubble and trailers, like you see on the news. However, I was presently surprised to find a thriving city, although not quite the same pre-Katrina as many locals explained. And why I did see many abandoned buildings and "for rent" signs hanging in French Quarter properties, I also saw families and tourist enjoying the city, as I suspect they will do forever.
