    Battle of Los Angeles, Feb 24/25 1942 - UFO fought by Army

    On Feb. 24/25 1942, the U.S. Army fought a UFO over Los Angeles.  This battle is one of the most well-documented encounters between armed forces and a UFO.  To this day, there is no official explanation for what went on in the dark of the night nearly sixty years ago.  The photograph included here with the story is genuine and has been contrast, color and gamma enhanced to make the UFO more distinctive.

     

    The official explanation given for this incident :it was a false alarm due to "war nerves".
