The south embarrasses me once again...
I live in Lafayette, Louisiana, and yesterday the local school board announced they would be excusing children from hearing the President's speech on education, if they had a signed note from their parents. The local newspaper's message board is filled to the brim with comments about how this speech has been designed to brainwash children to believe Obama's socialst agenda, so that they can bring it home and brain wash their parents. Seriously? And the people down here wonder why everyone laughs at the south. This is a prime example. They hate the president. Period. No matter what he says or does, they hate him. These same people claimed we were crazy for being concerned about the Patriot Act, are now telling me that with a 20 minutes speech on staying in school, the President will turn all the children into liberal zombies.
If you don't laugh, you'll cry, right?
