What Obama should put in his Health Care Speech

If president Obama wants to win back the public opinion polls with his health care speech, here is what he needs to do.

He needs to first and foremost make it absolutely clear that the public option is off the table.  Any mention of it ... even as a "last-resort, if private insurance fails" ... will certainly leave his polling numbers unchanged.  Next, Obama needs to make certain that this speech DOES NOT sound like a campgain speech.  I don't want to hear crappy empty promises and political rhetoric about how he wants to insure every american, and he wants to tax the rich, and how he wants to make sure everybody can afford health care, and how he wants to punish the big insurance companies , and how he wants no waiting lines, bla bla bla.  Empty promises are worthless. I don't want to hear "what he wants" ... i want to hear "what he's gonna do".  If he just blabs on like a campaign speech with empty promises his polling numbers will stay unchanged.  If he gives details ... and they don't involve taxes, and they don't involve government run options, and instead they do involve truly reforming the existing structure we have ... then he has a chance to gain back popularity.  And also, one other word of advice ... he better not touch MediCare ... I personally would love to see it eliminating, or see huge cuts to medicare, but I believe that any mention of modifying MediCare will mean continued outlash from seniors, and therefore his polling numbers will remain unchanged.  And another thing, I would recommend that he DOES NOT bring up AARP in any way shape or form ... that's simply not going to win over votes.  He can't live in the past, he has to come up with something completely new or his polling numbers will remain unchanged.  And I don't think that talking about bi-partisanship is worth it ... or talking about The Dems doing it on their own . .. both of those topics are bad nes for the president, because there is no such thing as bipartisanship right now ... and the dems doing it themselves is bad publicity ... so he should just leave that topic untouched during his speech.  In summary ... Obama needs to NOT bring up the past, needs to go into great details about what he's gonna do, and should ignore all of the political manuevering topics.
