Flooding in Zambales
Constant heavy rain causes several areas of the Zambales region to experience flooding. Especially surrounding the flood stricken areas that was devastated by the late typhoon Kiko early August.
The evacuation centers recieves constant relief and medical activites that local government and non-government organizations provides rain or shine. And todays activity made us experience again the harsh weather that our climate brings to our country.
The newly constructed bridge that connects Carael and Bucao along the Botolan,Zambales area, as was told , recieved a blow from the ravaging river-flow causing it to have a minor damage and was closed temporarily for inspection until cleared by local engineers while representatives from the Philippine Army try to help. Flood mudwater is from foot to knee deep high at the moment but can still rise up depending on the severity of the rain.
Photos are taken during local inspection of our team late this afternoon.
