    D-Day Hero

    Gerard A. Ruddy's headstone in the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial on the 64th anniversary of D-Day -- Ruddy is one of three Medal of Honor recipients buried at this WWII Omaha Beach cemetery and this photo is one of the 9,387 headstones of the heroes from the Allied Forces who liberated France and other European countries.
