Shame on Rep Wilson & Republicans
I wonder what John Adams, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers would react to the display by Congress last night?! It is true, their have been disagreements in politics dating back to the Continental Congress and the creation of the Declaration of Independence.
HOWEVER, until last night, their was always a level of civility and respect for the OFFICE of President and between members of Congress. The choreographed display by Republicans goes beyond Representative Wilson (more on that in a moment). Throughout the evening, we noticed a Republican holding a handmade sign (two signs), we noticed another texting on his blackberry during the speech, others holding up papers in unison. Regardless of their beliefs, when the President addresses Congress, he deserves the honor and respect of ALL members of Congress, regardless of party.
Representative Wilson dishonored all current and former members of Congress, including our Founding Fathers. His outburst was simply disgusting, a vulgar, disrespectful display of childish behavior. He did the Democrats a favor as his most likely Democratic challenger, who raised a good amount of money since last night, courtesy of Representative Wilson's dumb comment.
Representative Wilson is the poster child for the Republican Party. The level of childish behavior by the Republicans since losing the White House is astonishing! One can't help to think their is a level of racism involved, but I won't go into that. The actions speak for themselves! However, the level of childish, disgusting behavior has hit all time lows! For Republicans, that is an amazing accomplishment, as they tend to lower the bar all the time!!!!
