    Black in America

    TEEN VIOLENCE

MRS. O BRIEN HELD A GREAT CONVERSATION @ THE TOM JOYNER FAMILY REUNION @ THE GAYLORD IN ORLANDO LAST SUNDAY. SHE IS TRULY AN ASSET TO THE COMMUNITY AND IT WAS A JOY TO MEET HER. THE TOPIC THAT BELIEVE OTHER THAN EDUCATION FOR OUR CHILDREN AND TEENS WOULD BE TEEN VIOLENCE. WHAT ARE OUR CHILDREN WATCHING EATING OR SEEING THAT WOULD MAKE THEM CAPABLE OF KILLING OR ATTEMPTING TO KILL ANOTHER TEEN. I FRIEND OF MINE WAS BLESSED WITH A DEAR SWEET INTELLIGENT AND BEAUTIFUL 14 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO WAS S\TABBED 18 TIMES AND THAN SET AFIRE BY A TEEN THE SAME AGE. WHAT WILL BECOME OF BOTH CHILDREN? WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE FAMILIES INVOLVED?SOLEDAD WANTED US TO GIVE HER SOME IDEAS FOR THE NEXT BLACK IN AMERICA. HOW DO WE KEEP OUR YOUTH ALIVE????? HOW DO WE KEEP OUR FUTURE SANE. THE YOUTH IS UP AGAINST: TEXTING WHILE DRIVING, OBESITY, DRUG AND DRINKING AND NOW TEEN VIOLENCE.WE NEED TO ACT NOW!
