    Nancy's No. 1 fan

    Great Head on Your Shoulders

Hello Friend!  I just love it when you say that!

Nancy, I believe that I am you biggest fan and here is why.....

I am a cancer survivor as of 2-08.  During chemotherapy, I lost my hair on my 46th birthday.  Due to the horrendous chemotherapy and the hair loss, I decided that I would turn my situation into one of control and I was going to have fun with it...

Senator Clinton came to my home town and was campaigning for the Presidency at this time.  What a historical event...prior First Lady and possible First Female President!  I had my best friend paint my head with Hillary's logo on my head.  I am a conservative Republican and I wanted to meet her because I find her facinating.   Guess What?  I did meet her!

I find you to be as facinating as well.  I feel so warm when you say "Good night friend".  I just crack up laughing when you fuss at 'Sherman or Burris'!  I have learned so very much from you regarding the legal system and being concise and straight forward when dealing with others.  You are totally fabulous!  I also adore it when you say "Rhut  rhooe" like Scooby Doo!

Because I value your wisdom and you have such a "great head on your shoulders", I wanted to give you a tribute as I did for Senator Cinton.  However, a year ago I didn't have any hair and now I do.  I just couldn't bare shaving my head again (sorry, but it gets very cold here in Iowa in the fall/winter).  So my tribute to you was painting a skull cap and donning it in a similar way that was done for Hillary.

I am also guilty of being your #1 fan because due to my health, I need my sleep.  But during the summer months, my 5 children are up later in the evening and I have to catch your show at midnight rather than earlier.  Needless to say...I am sleep deprived!  But you are very worth it!  Now that school has started, I catch you 3 hours earlier and I can get to bed earlier as well.  Thank God for school!

I am a single foster mom with 5 adopted special needs children.  2 of my children are autistic and 1 is fetal alcohol affect.  Your words regarding 'Safety Tips' are very valuable to me regarding my children.   My sweet babies are the reason I rise every morning and have the strenght to say "cancer be gone".

Thank you very much for hosting this fun contest!  It was a blast painting the skull cap in your honor and gathering photos to share with you.  Your twins are blessed to have you as there mother!

God Bless you and your precious family!

    Mary
