    How Quickly We Forget

How quickly we forget what day it is; through the hustle and bustle of working and weekend plans and family and holidays, we forget.  We forget that 8 years ago, a terrible tragedy took place.  At approximately 9 or 10 in the morning, we experienced the worst moment of our lives - 9/11.

How quickly we forget to love thy neighbor.

How quickly we forget to take a few minutes to greet a stranger or a person in need.

How quickly we forget to thank our maker for another day to smell the flowers and breath the coming Fall air.

How quickly we forget to help someone who is not as healthy or fortunate as we are.

How quickly we forget that time is short and days are even shorter.

How quickly we forget to enjoy the music, the trees around us and anything living.

How quickly we forget to say hello to our animals and the forest and thank God we have a forest to be thankful for.

How quickly we forget the coming holidays and when they pass, we expect there will be another.

Let us all stand together as one on this very sad special day, and salute the flag and thank God we are free; we have free speech and can vote for whomever we chose and not be dominated by someone threatening our lives if we do not elect him.

Do one special thing for someone this month and help someone in need.

I did not realize that time was so short for my beautiful cat and I lost him this week.  With the holidays coming and the fall weaning upon us; my beautiful Halloween cat has passed on; writing about him makes me very sad, but very peaceful that I can say in words - Pretty Boy, we had the greatest times together and I will never forget you and I will always miss you, but you gave me someone to live for.  Maybe one day I will find another like you, but he will never be you - May you rest in peace in animal heaven.
