RACE TO TWEET (TWITTER) CAUSES BREACH OF JOURNALISTIC COURTESY
President Barack Obama calling entertainer, Kanye West a "jackass" was allegedly off the record.
However, the Obama-Kanye jackass remark hit the Internet soon enough, thanks to ABC's Terry Moran and Twitter. Moran overheard the President talking in another conversation.
The White House has not responded to the breach.
People are racing to post unverified, confidential, off-the-record information on Twitter.com, MySpace.com, and Facebook.com in an effort to be the first the break the news to the general public.
Professional courtesies are ignored and validity of information is not checked. We have got to stop this!
