    Indiana Flooding in Johnson County

    On the evening of June 6, 2008 the skies opened up and it began to rain. These photographs were taken in Greenwood located in Johnson County, Indiana. At the location of Highway 37 in Greenwood, homeowners were evacuated by boat. The water in this area ranged from 4' to 6' in some areas. Without flood insurance many families have lost everything. Interstate 65 and Highway 31 have sections missing and are closed or down to one lane. We are expecting more rain beginning at 4:00 pm and severe thunderstorms are being predicted at this time. The entire central and southern portion of the state is under a flood warning. If you wish to help please go to and make a donation.
