Santa Barbara spends more money to fight fires
No, whatever you do, don't cut down or trim the trees for god's sake, just sprinkle some Hydromulch on the ground (good for a year) and see if it helps with the next big fire or rain issue. This is one of many planes now dropping expensive sponges on our soil, obstensibly for run-off control. The last attempt at this was botched.
Please, could someone explain how our normally "rational" little town has grown to worship the sacred "tree" so much that it trumps human life itself?
