Sgt. 1st Class Jared C. Monti: Medal of Honor recipient
Sgt. 1st Class Jared C. Monti's actions in Afghanistan demonstrate the meaning of loyalty, selfless service and personal courage. On June 21st, 2006 he paid the ultimate sacrifice while trying to save his fellow Soldiers. Sgt. 1st Class Monti distinguished himself by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his live above and beyond the call of duty. For these reasons, he is the recipient of the Medal of Honor.
