Marietta , GA - Columns Drive Flood

    Monday , Sep 21, 2009:

Heavy rains on Monday morning resulted in flooding in narrow Chatahoochie creek on the Columns Drive in Marietta. Many people were stranded as this is the only gateway to the Johnson Ferry road. A number of kids missed their school as their school buses could not cross the bridge and reach their designated stops. Witnesses mentioned that water was flowing well above the bridge, that is above the 30 FT level. Hopefully, the water should recede in a couple of hours and residents should be able to get back to their normal work.
