This iReport is part of an assignment:
Generation Islam |
Criminal Defense Organization ignores Eid salutes Rosh Hashanah only.
Enclosed is the text of an email from the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorney's to the membership saluting the Hebrew new year. When I reminded them that the most holy of day in Islam was Monday-Tuesday (09/21/2009) there was no mass email wishing anyone "Happy Eid".
I believe this is an act of gross discrimination. I do not believe the FACDL should even comment on religion, but now that they have, all religions should be mentioned equally and fairly. I believe a public apology should also be issued to Islamic members of FACDL.
Original Email:
[FACDLmembers] Apologize to our Jewish members
My sincere apologies. In my previous email I should have wished you a Happy New Year!
