This iReport is part of an assignment:
Wildfires blazing near you |
The Station Fire Aftermath
I was a Briggs Terrace evacuee. I am very Thankful that the fire fighters saved our homes. I know it was very touch and go and thankfully we did not have any winds. I feel sorry for the people in Moorpark.
The photos you see here is what left of our hillside and mountain. As you can see there is nothing left of our beautful hillsides but thankfully yes our home. The firefighters are doing spot checks in Goss Ganyon.
As of today I witnessed little "ash funnels" forming all over the hillside and entire shelf collapse. There already had been quite a bit of land erosion. Rainy season is going to be is going to make things very intersesting in the burned areas. We have to start getting ready for the mudslides.
