    Sydney dust storm

Brisbane Dust Storm at UQ 8pm

I was online tonight, and I came across a news article mentioning the dust storm will hit Brisbane at around 6-8pm. I went out just before 8pm and I couldn't believe what I saw - the entire night sky was illuminated in a pale orange colour.

There was dust everywhere. I took these shots at UQ (University of Queensland) and the air felt really dry. My throat began to feel slightly itchy.

Basically the street lamps were illuminating the dust particles as in the foggy effect in the pictures. I couldn't stay out for long - so I went indoors quickly!

(The closest category was "Sydney dust storm" so I had to choose that.)
