Flooding near Manila Airport from Tropical Storm Ketsana
Here are some photos I took throughout the day as I was stranded near the Manila airport (Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Terminal 1) from 10:00am to 12 midnight. Travelers and locals experienced intense flooding and heavy traffic near the airport. The incessant outpouring of rain, accompanied by the high tide surrounding the archipelago, overpowered the drainage system throughout the country. Departing international flights were delayed due to the malfunctioning electric circuitry and activity is expected to resume Sunday morning, September 27.
