fatmans bbq comes in from outside
Robin,
About 12 years ago I had a bumper crop of tomatoes and a friend said "make BBQ sauce" after sellingsauce for a year or so i was invited to sell BBQ on the side of the road at a farmers market. I started with the wife but when I had to have my knees replaced my youngest daughter got involved. and we grew from week end BBQ stand to include some catering. We utilized my son the chef for food prep and as well as my oldest daughter who helped with concessions at IU home games and catering.
I was working as a chef at the University when the situation changed and I lost all my benefits and insurance. Facing that we collectively put our heads together and even though it was the worst economy in 25 years ...we opened a restaurant! FATMANS BBQ ETC. My son in law did our building with my son at every turn.We all pitched in at our own skill level. and the results are in this commercial we just filmed .I want to thank my wife and kids for helping me to realize my dream and take part in the american dream.
Its been 6 months and we couldnt be happier
