Jupiter and Moon in Sky Tonight
Jupiter shines to the right of the Moon evening of September 29th, 2009.
Photo taken by Mike Black in Belmar, New Jersey USA.
The Moon and Jupiter only appear to be close, Jupiter is actually over 1,600 times farther away from us than the Moon.
This is visible tonight to anyone with clear skies. No telescope needed, just eyes.
