The L.A. Station Fire from Space
These aerial images of the Station Fire, which engulfed the Angeles National Forest north of Los Angeles, were taken by DigitalGlobe's QuickBird-2 satellite on August 31st, 2009.
Images:
1: Satellite image cropped to show the Los Angeles foothill communities affected by the Station Fire. The 210 Freeway can be seen extending from the left of the image to the bottom right, meeting with the north end of the 2 Freeway.
2: The entire aerial image as taken by the QuickBird-2 satellite.
