The Members Church of God International (MCGI) or locally known as Ang Dating Daan will be having a 3-day International Thanksgiving. The event can be followed through the live blogging in the organization's Facebook page by the participating members.

Here's an exceprt of the first entry of the blog:

At the heart of the country, that was recently devastated by the typhoon Ketsana, is a crowd that is set to offer thanksgiving that was observed first by the early Christians during the time of the Apostles. This crowd was taught to be understanding of the events happening. They were also being taught to be thankful even to sorrowful things happening to them.

Like many of their fellow Filipinos, some of these in the peculiar crowd lost their homes, their livelihood and for some, their properties. However, even these ‘adversities’ are not enough reasons for them to be hindered from their good will to offer thanksgiving to the God of Israel.

This manner was taught to them by the International Evangelist Bro. Eli Soriano, host of The Old Path program. The peculiar flock he was leading is called Members of Church of God International (MCGI).
Their thanksgiving is a 3-day affair that they observed every quarter of the year.  The third quarter of this affair is set on October 2, 3 and 4, 2009.

As of now the host venue of event, which is the Ang Dating Daan Convention Center in Pampanga, has been swiftly being flocked by the attendees coming from different parts of the country. Bringing some of their basic needs like sleeping mats and some meal packages they are not mindful of the drizzly weather.

With the primary assistance from the Church’s Vice-Presiding Minister, Bro. Daniel Razon, the officers and other helpers are tending the safety and comfort of the arriving brethren. With the roofed convention center, transient home and free clinic that are built inside the compound, the attendees’ security needs are well provided while enjoying this 3-day religious event.
