We were hit by a LA State Trooper thant ran a red light going at a high rate of speed (obviously more than the posted 25 mph). He was in an unmarked vehicle with no emergency lights.  We of course got the ticket for the red light because it was our word against his. It's really awful how the police can get away with running over people and then get their co-workers to cover it  up. There was even harrassment at the scene and they were kept there for three hours with a broke shoulder, collar bone, and the driver got knocked unconcious.

I wonder what distracted him since he never tried to turn his wheel, there were no skid marks, and we already had the front of our car through the intersection. It's pretty obvious he wasn't even looking in front of him at the time or he would have hit the brakes, turned the wheel, and we wouldn't have got the front of the vehicle through the intersection.
