What a disappointment!

I knew this guy was losing it when I last attended a taping at the Sullivan theatre.  We were screened and interviewed by little 20 year old interns.  It became clear during the little interview that they were looking for people that worship Letterman and will laugh if he picks a scab.  They didn't want enthusiasts who were visiting town and wanted a once in a lifetime experience, they wanted fanatical disciples.  We got in by faking it, I like the guy but I don't worship him and I don't think he walks on water.  He's funny that's enough for me.

Well we were sternly lectured by the director before Dave came out to clap enthusiastically and scream and holler anytime we were cued.  When entering the theatre, they screen a second time, if you aren't just weeping with anticipation like some kind of idiotic Oprah housewife, you were sent into the balcony (yep that was us!).  If you were trembling with love for your God David you got to go in the lower level.

This is what his show has come to.  He's so egotistical yet fragile that he can't take criticism, he has to be adored, if you don't adore him you aren't invited into his core.  The interns protect him like a feeble old grandfather that is 2 days from death.  Now we find out he's so insecure he's having sex with these interns.  Well of course a 20 something year old starstruck kid is going to sleep with a guy this popular no matter how creepy he is.  How pathetic is Letterman?  This is a new low.

Letterman buddy it's time to hang it up, you disgraced even your lesser self.  Earlier in the year we find out you want to see a 13 year old child of a conservative forcibly raped for your joking amusement.  Now we find out you are sleeping with willing children.  Put yourself out to pasture.
