Star Wars In Concert - May The Force Be With You!

George Lucas has done it again - yet another way to promote his storied Franchise. This show featured a live 120 piece live orchestra, a full choir, and it was narrated live by Anthony Daniels (Yes, He played C-3PO in all six films).

This was the hottest ticket in LA / OC this weekend, with tickets going for over double price at the ticket brokers. While the orchestra played the set pieces from the films, the movie clips were shown on a three story high (The largest ever on Tour) LCD screen that also was as long as the stage itself. On each side of the stage, their were "Beads" that came down in a full color display.

But what made the clips really special is that they were shown in full 1080 High Definition! Wow, talk about "Eye Candy" - You were watching the films at the absoulute best ever seen.

The show was in two parts, with a 20 minute intermission in the middle.

There was also, spread around the concourse of The Honda Center, an exclusive exhibit of Star Wars costumes, props, and production artwork - Some pieces have never been seen before, except at George Lucas's "Skywalker Ranch" - Including the Original score from 1977 by John Williams.

The fan base was incredible - the age range was from 3 to 93, and everyone had a blast - with many coming wearing thier favorite costumes.

It was a little bit too long, and, unlike most concerts, there was no crowd noise during the film clips - the fans politely clapped with applause at the end of each set.

    Grade: B+
