Environmental initiatives in Bangladesh
Bangladesh, wedged between India and Myanmar, is a poor country that is directly affected by global warming because it is situated in the low-lying delta fed by melting Himalayan glaciers. Yet this county is a low-emitter of global warming carbon dioxide. So perhaps in spite of this or despite this, helping the environment is already a priority for them.
I visited Bangladesh earlier this year to report on some of their innovative environmental initiatives for the Christian Science Monitor.
