ED ROLLINS SNL SKIT OR REPUBLICANS WON'T SINK POUS
Response to Ed Rollins, a senior political contributor for CNN in Commentary: Will 'SNL' skit sink hopes for Obama?
I challenge anyone to cite a President would have made an effort to fulfill his campaign promises as fiercely as President Obama. Rollins said “Republicans have no hope left about Obama. At best, they pray, for the good of the country that he's not as bad as Jimmy Carter.” I say that it would be one thing if the Republicans’ position was just that they didn’t have any hope left for PRESIDENT Obama. The problem is that they are determined to undermine his Presidency and his agenda.
Rollins also said “Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is getting high marks and certainly has been a loyal supporter of the president. John McCain has renewed his Senate career with intensity and has become a valuable asset to the loyal opposition” I have a SKIT idea for SNL. An actor portraying John McCain would stand under his ‘last” campaign slogan: “Put Country First” and then ask if he put country first or if his loyal lies with the Republicans solid stance to vote as a united block against any and all solutions offered by the duly elected president of the United States of America.
Lastly, I believe that President Obama will achieve most of his promises made to the America public because he will realize that that the “loyal opposition” doesn’t have any intention of being a part of the solution for many of the problems caused by them. Their actions including McCain’s demonstrate that Republicans’ strategy is to be problematic to the president’s agenda in an effort to win the Presidential election in 2012. Fortunately for the American people the “loyal opposition” Republicans will get the same results as the midterm elections in 2006 and the Presidential election in 2008. They will lose additional seats in 2010 and President Obama will win re-election in 2012.
