Asper Kourt - Young People Who Rock

We are, quite literally, trying to be "Young People Who Rock"! Our band, Asper Kourt, is from Albuquerque, NM and consists of four 20 year olds and one 26 year old (the old man of the group). We of course have lofty ambitions of touring, recording, and getting our music out on the radio waves; however, the main priority of our band is to make a difference in the communities around our city and state while expanding into helping communities all over the world. In the last two years, we have played dozens of benefit shows ranging from children’s birthday parties for free to organizing a music festival to raise money for the victims of the earthquake in China and the cyclone in Myanmar in the summer of 2008. We’ve also played numerous shows helping organizations like Team in Training, Albuquerque Foster Homes and most recently, Boys & Girls Club of America and Make a Wish Foundation. We are also trying to work with other companies who share our vision of making changes in the world for the better, like Tom’s Shoes (getting shoes to needy children around the world)! Whether it is to help an organization earn money for the continuation of their operations, raise funds to help communities in need, or to just provide some entertainment for any group of people, we love being a part of something bigger than ourselves that makes the world a better place.
