This iReport is part of an assignment:
Do you haunt graveyards? |
Old Cemetery
I used to live on a road called Cemetery Road which had this old cemetery at the end of it so I went exploring one day and was absolutely fascinated! Some of the stones like the first few pictures looked hand carved and they dated to the 1800's. Then there were some unusual headstones like the one that looks like a stack of logs and the other that looks like a tree. Then the beautiful angels and I also came across an area that was for Confederate soldiers. I also came across some that had to be babies and children which saddened me. I like graveyards and looking at the stones because they tell part of a person's story and it makes you wonder just how their lives were.
